The VIPROM project has reached an important milestone: the German pilot accreditation of the VIPROM Train-the-Trainer course on domestic violence has been successfully achieved in March 2026.

What initially began as a pilot initiative has now evolved into a significant step towards the sustainable integration of domestic violence training into medical education. This accreditation marks a key achievement in strengthening the long-term impact of the project.

The process leading to this milestone is documented in our blog post Stepstones towards a successful accreditation…, which outlines the key steps, challenges and lessons learned. The article provides valuable insights and practical guidance for institutions and stakeholders aiming to implement accredited training programmes in the field of medical education.

A special acknowledgement goes to Eva Schönefeld, Priv.-Doz. Dr. med., whose outstanding commitment and dedication were instrumental in achieving this success.

Beyond its national significance, this accreditation serves as a blueprint for future implementation across Europe. By translating research outcomes into accredited curricula and practice-oriented training formats, VIPROM contributes to bridging the gap between research, policy and healthcare practice, ensuring a sustainable and systemic impact.
